Wahrnehmung von Materialeigenschaften

Subject Area General, Cognitive and Mathematical Psychology
Term from 2009 to 2017
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 134634726

Final Report Year 2016

Final Report Abstract

The goal of this project was to explore how the human perceptual system analyzes the material properties of objects. The approaches we had chosen were to investigate (1) how different materials effect the perception of color and lightness, (2) how the visual system discriminates different materials and material properties, (3) how visual and haptic aspects of material properties combine, (4) how material properties of objects guide our actions, and (5) how materials and their properties are represented in the brain.
