The project is the Central Service Project within the CRC, which provides animal models (partial hepatectomy, bile duct ligation, portal vein ligation), primary cells from the liver and the brain, biological materials (biomaterial bank, animal pathology) and techniques such as FACS (fluorescence activated cell sorting) analysis, microRNA analysis and liver perfusion for all projects of the CRC 974. In addition, infrastructures are made available, such as the Psychometric Laboratory for the objective detection and grading of hepatic encephalopathy (HE) in patients.
