Final Report Abstract
In summary, this study reveals an unexpectedly critical role for the immune kinase Syk in brown adipocyte differentiation, activation and function. A better understanding of the regulation of Syk activity and its targets in brown fat thus has the potential to reveal novel avenues towards the treatment of diabetes.
