The sub-project C6 deals with the aeroelasticity of mistuned axial compressors with multiple stages. Operation and regeneration of jet-engines causes deviations from the nominal blade geometries, impacting vibrations during use. The aim of this sub-project is to investigate these vibrations using an improved simulation methodology. The main focus is the influence of the aerodynamic and structural coupling of compressor blades between different stages. Intentional and random mistuning is taken into account. The methodology is validated experimentally.
