This interdisciplinary project has a physical and a mathematical branch. In the physical branch we aim to establish an approach to renormalization of quantum gauge theories using graphical functions.Explicitly, we attempt to perform a (record breaking) six loop order calculation of the quantum electrodynamical (QED) renormalization functions. On the mathematical side we want to re-formulate generalized single-valued hyperlogarithms (GSVHs) in a fully motivic setup using the `f-alphabet'.In this new setup we want to understand if (and possibly how) extensions to elliptic iterated integrals are possible. The calculational results of both branches will be added to the Maple package HyperlogProcedures (which emerged from the first two parts of the project).
