Zusammenfassung der Projektergebnisse
In the project we have addressed several important problems in the field of theoretical astrophysics. The formation of planets in binaries has been treated primarily with our collaborator Prof. Richard Nelson in London, as planned in the grant application. Together with the hired postdoc, Ralf Kissmann, we concentrated in the development and application of 3D MHD models to disk and solar physics. The newly developed methods for curvilinear grids will play an important role in future 3D disk models around single stars as well as in binary stars.
