Investigation of fast de-wetting from substrates with complex surface morphologies (A03)

A03 investigates in a generic, experimental setup extremely fast, forced dewetting phenomena, development of instabilities and characterizes residual volumes on the substrate. The second funding period will focus on: a) the effects of rheologically complex liquids (suspensions, polymer dispersions, real ink fluids), b) the influence of thermal effects, and c) the effects of accelerated substrates. The methods and models developed for Newtonian fluids in the first funding period will be generalized and further developed for complex cases.
