Operational and adaptive process planning and control (T09#)

Subject Area Production Systems, Operations Management, Quality Management and Factory Planning
Term from 2017 to 2019
Project identifier Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 5486368

The process planning assumes static conditions and establishes optimal production sequences. Dynamic influences (e. g. limited availability of machines) require short-term rescheduling within the production control. Subject of this transfer project is to transfer the methods and knowledge on adaptive process planning and control to the Fauser AG and Bornemann GmbH which were developed in the subproject K2 and their further application-oriented development. On the one hand, the knowledge is transferred regarding the preparation and production parallel evaluation of alternative process plans. On the other hand, the knowledge for evaluation and use of operational data using approaches from the field of data mining is to be transferred. To achieve operational usability, the planning approach is extended by an automated update of the planning data base by a return of operating data. Using the transferred knowledge, the method is prototypically implemented in a Manufacturing Execution System by the Fauser AG and applied by the Bornemann GmbH.
