Subject Area
City Planning, Spatial Planning, Transportation and Infrastructure Planning, Landscape Planning
Term
since 2018
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 290045248
The subproject investigates the permeation of children’s spatial knowledge through digital media use under the influence of politics and spatial planning in Germany and China. The spatial figuration of young people’s everyday lives is reconstructed as a conflictual interplay between children’s subjective knowledge of space, i.e. their perception and experience of space, spatial imaginations and practices on the one hand, and the political and planning regimes aimed at influencing hybrid practices on the other.
