Glioblastoma multiforme and breast tumors disseminating into and throughout the brain are the most devastating human brain tumors. The overall aim of this project is to employ a brain-like ECM as hydrogel, which allows functional network formation of human neurons, astrocytes, microglia, and GBM cells and is suitable to study the efficiency of chemotherapeutic agents. Precise spatial and temporal architecture is enabled by bioprinting of different cell types but also spheroids using Drop on demand and extrusion printing.
