This project will elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying a novel monogenic form of early-onset SLE due to an UNC93B1 gain-of-function. By combining their expertise in pediatric immunology, innate immunity, and systems medicine, the investigators aim at translating basic research findings into novel therapeutic concepts targeting individual innate immune pathways, thus, accelerating precision medicine in autoimmune diseases.
