Molecular mechanisms and (patho)physiological consequences of PRC2.1-mediated gene regulation (A17*)
Subject Area
General Genetics and Functional Genome Biology
Term
from 2018 to 2022
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 109546710
The polycomb repressive complex 2.1 (PRC2.1) is characterized by the polycomb-like proteins (PCLs) and EPOP, which are linked to active gene transcription. Here, we propose a bipartite work program that studies in the first part the molecular mechanisms of gene regulation mediated by EPOP. The second part addresses the functional role of PRC2.1 and its interaction partners in early mouse embryogenesis, in somatic reprogramming and in human cancer.
