There is no (comprehensive) analysis of the early modern latin discourse about fictionality. The aim of this project is to fill this gap by a systematic analysis of the theory of literary fiction in the time between about 1350 (from Petrarca [1304-1374] and Boccaccio [1313-1375]) and Scaliger's Poetics (1561).
