In the project "Particle tracking in bulk solids based on microwave multiple input multiple output systems" (Musch/Rolfes), the microwave-based MIMO system that allows for the tracking of single marker particles with frequency-selective and trans-polarizing structures will be extended to track multiple markers and to determine particle rotation. Test beds for validation of the method are shaft rig in Magdeburg (particles at rest, multiple particle localization) and the grate system in Bochum (particles in motion, particle rotation).
