The research project investigates expectations of social transformation instigated by artistic practices as well as their reception in plural publics. At the centre of interest are practices characterized by their intention to change and disrupt established orders and by their expectations of social and political efficacy. Ideally, they locate themselves between political expressions of the arts (e.g., theatre, action art) and artistic expressions of politics (e.g., activism, protest movements), whereby they display their very own field logics.
