Project Details
Predicting therapy resistance in human cancer (C03)
Subject Area
Evolutionary Cell and Developmental Biology (Zoology)
Term
since 2022
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 325931972
This project builds on previous work on hallmarks of tumor evolution to therapy resistance. We will investigate the predictability of resistance trajectories and the characteristics of resistant cancers across three tumor entities - lymphoma, lung, and colorectal cancer. We will compare therapy-naïve samples that will or will not respond to treatment. By combining genomic, transcriptomic, and AI-analyzed histopathological data, the goal is to develop a clinically relevant predictor of cancer resistance to systemic therapies.
