Complex hyper-Kähler varieties are a higher dimensional generalisation of K3 surfaces. The aim of this project is to extend the realm of projective hyper-Kähler geometry to positive characteristic and study the interplay between the complex and the characteristic p or p-adic situation. Besides foundational questions, we will put special focus on integral Torelli theorems. In the long run, we also will aim at motivic and derived versions of such Torelli theorems.
