Project Details
Understanding the stepwise structural evolution of printed semiconductors: from ex-situ to complex in-situ studies (S03)
Subject Area
Physical Chemistry of Solids and Surfaces, Material Characterisation
Term
since 2025
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 538767711
Project S3 (Unruh) uses X-ray scattering techniques to provide lateral and depth-resolved structural information, mechanistic insight and kinetic information on self-ordering phenomena occurring at the solid-liquid interface during the formation of molecular monolayers (with F6) and solids (with C1, C3, C4, F1, F2, F3, F5). The effects of substrate choice and process parameters on the morphology and crystallinity of the solid will be observed by in situ monitoring during sALD in a liquid flow cell. The interpretation of electron density data will require modeling (M3, M4, M5) and complementing with further investigative methods (C6, S1, S2, S4) to deliver insight into epitaxy and lateral order.
