Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 317475864
This research project investigates the role of RNA in synaptic processes, with a particular focus on non-coding RNAs such as microRNAs (miRNAs) and small nucleolar RNAs (snoRNAs). We will explore the role of synaptically localized miRNAs in regulating synaptic protein levels and plasticity, as well as their contribution to Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. By integrating cutting-edge methodologies and collaborative efforts, this project will provide novel insights, ultimately paving the way for potential therapeutic strategies targeting neurodegenerative diseases.
